zwischenwelt is the paranormal audio/visual concern of susana correira, beta evers and penelope martin alongside esteemed ex-drexciya producer, heinrich mueller (dopplereffekt/arpanet/der zyklus). zwischenwelt is similar in style and sound to mueller s almost indivisible black replica and zerkalo projects of the last few years, which were coincidentally coordinated with a strong female presence. originally cd only release on rephlex records.

what s in the du name? 030303 records asked three of their favourite prod ucers with matching names to du an ep together: ann harbour s d marc cantu and mark du mosh & paul du lac, both from the dutch harbour city rotterdam. the result is dynamite! a1-mine motion- is a monsterous jacker in the rawest form how only mr cantu can du! on the b side mark du mosh takes off with a flight to -bermuda- with a hot & steamy roaring electronic beast sitting on the wing of the plane and causing some heavy turbulence. fortunatly du mosh keeps us flying high with some deep emotional synths. last but not least paul du lac delivers a dark psychedelic techtool called -beta rhythm-. a track that creeps under your skin as a virus, causing some serious haziness from noding your head. be aware that this record will appear on vinyl only!

the swedish label is back with a three tracker valvet studios production, featuring per hammars sound of dusty dub house. dixies dubb is a straight forward and warm cut with a good amount of chamber-sounding ingredients. argys take on the track is a timeless piece of dubby, stripped and sparkling techno. just as obvious as it is venturous. as the last track on the flip, we find severnaja, that takes us on a mission over an icy surface. the travelling bassline and overheated drums in symbiosis with the melody brings the listener to uninhabited places.

“danse ep” is the first extended play of the german band bleib modern whom have surprised last year with one the best cold wave albums of the european scene, “all is fair in love and war”. 4 tracks have been remixed / re recorded specially with a “danse” approach for this magical release. the evocative guitar lines among crude but very seductive vocals plus an excellent production transports the listener immediately to an altered state of mind. the sound of the band can be perfectly compared to any of the all time big names of the cold wave and post punk.

the first remix is signed by one of the biggest legends of the electronic scene: the mighty john digweed, together with his studio partner nick muir, did a proggy-tech trip with tons of epic vibes.
gabriel ananda has turned the original into a more electronic, sophisticated and special track.
last but not least, coyu did a dub edit from his original cut, focusing the leadership of the track in the bassline instead of the melodies. great names for an amazing package!

following their release of the michael turtle 12inch last year, music from memory now publish phantoms of dreamland a compilation of works by the uk musician recorded between 1983-1985. tip! this double lp features tracks drawn from the recording sessions for turtles album music from the living room and also collects material turtle recorded shortly after that, for an album which would never materialise. with three tracks taken from music from the living room’ and the rest of the compilation entirely made up of unreleased tracks, phantoms of dreamland draws on an illustrious period for michael.

oona dahl joined us at all day i dream last year both as a dj and recording artists. her first release high eyes was featured on our summer sampler and floated onto the dance floor and into the consciousness of dj s around the world. oona studied sound design in the usa before moving to berlin over the summer of 2015 to continue honing and crafting her sound. her first full ep for adid features deep dreamscapes and innovative arrangements underpinned by solid grooves that capture emotive, twisted melodic expressions. she and her music are a trip to the depths.

the second of this year’s smd singles on their own delicacies label is features another two original tracks, leading with the hypnotic, late night techno loping of “remember in reverse”, drenched in glistening synths. the second track, “soft attack” takes a much more direct approach, with a brash battering of crash cymbals on every 4th bar marking time as a sinuous synth melody curls around the rhythmatic trunk. “soft attack (drum version)” pares it down even further, excising the melody for a minimal dj tool. also included here is a remix of ‘remember in reverse” from 90s mid west techno legend, dj hyperactive, who we’re super excited to have on this release. he extensive 11 minute rework transforms the track, sprinkling it with subtle doses of acid. after a short hiatus following their modular-only, desert recorded last album “whorl”, during which smd s james ford found himself on production duties for everyone and their dog, smd are back with bunch of techno cuts on their own delicacies label. over a couple of months in jas shaw s newly re-located synth-dense studio in leafy kent, which saw smd once again experiment with live jams as the basis for their production, they’ve pulled together a selection of eight tracks for release as a series of four singles over the coming months. smd fans will note that the earlier naming convention of delicacies has fallen by the wayside – for the simple reason that we’ve pretty much run out of weird and wonderful food stuffs to steal names from. instead, a semi-random automated process has been used to create the track names.
